Halloween, a celebration of all things spooky and fun, is a much-anticipated event at our college, where students come together to embrace the thrill of the season with creativity, laughter, and a touch of mischief. The excitement builds up as the month of October progresses, culminating in a night of costumes, haunted houses, and a unique sense of camaraderie that unites the campus.

The festivities kick off with a campus-wide costume contest, where students pull out all the stops to create elaborate, imaginative outfits. From classic monsters like vampires and zombies to pop culture icons and witty puns, the creativity on display is unmatched. The contest is open to all, with categories for the funniest, scariest, and most original costumes, with winners receiving fun prizes and, of course, bragging rights.

In the days leading up to Halloween, various departments and student organizations host themed events that bring the spooky spirit to every corner of campus. The student council organizes a haunted house, transforming a building or a space into a labyrinth of eerie rooms filled with surprises, ghostly figures, and chilling sound effects. It’s a favorite among students, with everyone eager to face their fears (or scream in delight) as they navigate the spooky maze.

The dining hall gets into the Halloween spirit too, offering a special menu featuring pumpkin-flavored treats, ghost-shaped cookies, and “witches’ brew” drinks. Decorated with cobwebs, skeletons, and pumpkins, the space transforms into a festive, spooky environment where students can gather and enjoy themed snacks.

Children’s Day, celebrated on November 14th in India to honor the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, is not just a day for young kids, but a special occasion that brings out the childlike spirit in everyone, even in college. At our college, the celebration of Children’s Day is a heartwarming and vibrant event, where students and faculty come together to relive their childhood memories and engage in fun-filled activities.

The day begins with a burst of excitement as the student council organizes a series of events that bring joy and laughter to the campus. Faculty members, who traditionally have a more serious role on campus, take on the challenge of acting as ‘children’ for the day. Professors often dress in playful costumes, participate in games, and take part in skits that humorously highlight the innocence and joy of childhood.
